1996: Travis Lewis, then 16, murdered Sally Snowden McKay, 75, and her nephew Lee Baker, 52. The victims were found shot dead at McKays home on September 10, 1996, by Horseshoe Lake, according to The Commercial Appeal. He pleaded guilty.
On March 24 Martha McKay was stabbed to death. 23 years earlier, Travis Lewis had fatally shot Martha's mother and cousin, but Martha "forgave" the the murderous Travis and started writing him in prison. When Travis was released, Martha hired him to work at the same house in which the previous killings had occurred. Some months later, Martha was forced to fire Travis for stealing from her, so he stabbed her over 80X.
Coward Travis was near apprehension when he decided to end it all and drowned himself in a lake.
