247 pro-crypto candidates have been elected to the US House of Representatives, and 15 have been elected to the US Senate.

According to Standwithcrypto.com not a single new anti-crypto congressperson was elected. This next Congress will be the most pro-crypto ever, with 266 pro-crypto House candidates elected, and 18 Senate candidates.

Enligt en rapport från Bloomberg diskuterar Trumps övergångsteam möjligheten att skapa en ny roll i Vita huset för att hantera frågor relaterade till kryptovalutor. Rollen, som kan bli en senior stabsposition, skulle samordna reglering och policy mellan flera federala myndigheter som SEC och CFTC.

Donald Trump’s incoming administration reportedly wants the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to oversee the crypto industry — a move that could drastically roll back some of the regulatory power from the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the CFTC is handed regulatory control of crypto, it would be a big win for the local industry, which has long signaled the agency would be its preferred regulator as it’s perceived as fairer and has a lighter touch.
