Häromdagen lämnade jag min ZenBook med Mint 22 påslagen med laddkabeln i på bordet efter en del surfande och gick ut. Någon timme senare kom jag hem igen och upptåckte att allt i datorn utom det grafiska gränssnittet var borta. Omstart etc hjälpte inte ett dugg.
Hur sjutton gick detta till?
Nu var det ju så att det inte fanns några filer som var viktiga och värda att återskapa och jag orkade inte grotta ner mig hur man i så fall skulle göra det.
Jag tog fram USB-minnet med OS och installerade om plus att jag lät installationen kryptera hela disken Nu fungerar allt igen och jag får väl installera applikationer efterhand de behövs framöver.
Frågan är hur skulle jag burit mig åt för att få igång den gamla installationen utan att blåsa hårddisken ren och kunnat återskapa eventuellt viktiga filer.
