VIKTIGT!

At age 18, Amir Perets became Israel’s heavyweight full-contact martial arts champion and he joined Israel’s Defense Forces (the “IDF”). Perets later on became the IDF Krav Maga/hand-to-hand combat instructor of the Israeli infantry and Special Forces units.[2]
Excelling as an instructor, Perets was assigned to the top level of Krav Maga instruction in the IDF, certifying the hand-to-hand combat instructor course; Having taught some of the IDF top instructors, Perets then was selected for the elite IDF Naval Commando Unit (the Israeli equivalent to the U.S Navy SEALS). There, he built that unit's hand-to-hand combat program and trained them to use it.[1]
After completing his military service, Perets traveled to Thailand to continue to pursue his interest in mixed martial arts by training in “Muy Thai,” (Thai boxing),[3]
Perets then immigrated to the United States and pursued teaching defensive tactics and live saving methods to military counter-terror units, law enforcement agencies and civilians worldwide.[4] Simultaneously, he became a lead instructor at the newly formed “Krav Maga National Training Center", in Los Angeles California, where he holds a fourth degree black belt.[5]
In his own quest to discover the best elements of many different types of martial arts, Perets continued to study mixed-martial arts, training with and instructing world champion "no holds barred" professional fighters.
