Yes the question is
why a male person intentionally breakes a condom (instead of taking it off)? And
how to do it during the sexual intercourse?? It reminds me that I saw a German porny movie from the 70-thies where the male star used a scissor to cut of the tip of the condom (obviously he did not like too smeary around the tip of the penis.) Sorry, I donot remember the name of the movie and cannot give you a reference. I have otherwise not heard about such a behaviour earlier.
Why: 1. insane including perverted sexuality 2. wants to become a father 3. like sex better with a broken condom than sex with unbroken condoms (more friction?) 4. you have seen a German porny movie and donot like to become smeary. 5. more?
How: first, the quality of the condoms available in Sweden is high. It is difficult to see how you can break it (while having sex at the same time). If you have long sharp finger-nails that is of course possible. How long and sharp are the finger-nails of JA? Alternatively JA could have by force moved AA hand over the condom using any sharp finger-nails of AA or forced her sharp tees against the condom? However I believe the two latter alternative are unlikely by several reasons, eg. the likelyhood of a left-feminist having long sharp finger-nails must be considered to be low.
If the condoms somehow are damaged before or during the sex it could of course be somewhat easier.
Alternatives
1. Dry condom? It is clearly unlikely that you get a low quality condom if you by one. It could however happen if the condom was produced a long time ago and it has been unused. If so, AA bought the condom(S) a long time ago and has not used them or she has picked one or two for free eg. at a HBT party or at a STD clinic where condoms usually are provided for free but you never know how old they are.

2. Mechanic disruptions of the condoms during the intercourse: In the Discussion AA reports that she cannot use tampons. There are two major alternative reasons for that: too tight vagina or problem with vaginal spasms (which increase in strength during the intercourse). Both these alternatives may weaken the condom
3. Anal sex or oral sex (sharp teeth): well-known facts
4. A very low pH in the vagina (according to my wife called surfitta in Swedish)
5. The material which the condom is made of. In the past, eg during the time of Casanova, guts from eg sheep were used to make condoms. This is uncommon today although it sometimes used in rural areas of some underdeveloped societies/countries. However I donot believe that a vegetarian should use animal material in the condom.
In the discussion refered to condoms made of car tires are mentioned. Never heard about that although recycling of used car tires is of course high on the agenda of the red-green parties.
AA seems to have an experience from "menstruation cups" and recommends them strongly in the link. She actually states that it is possible to use them during penetrative sex. If she used them during the sex with JA it is of course possible that the edges of the cup damaged the condom so that JA could break it more easy.
A more distant alternative is that CIA has prepared the condoms so that they broke more easily. In view of the development of this history I believe today it is very unlikely although the coincidence that the US Navy Admiral with a lot of security personnel arrive to Sweden just in connection with the beginning of this story is appealing.
After analysing these circumstances I believe it is most likely that the condom was broken unintentionally (if it was broken at all)
